Gifts Through Bequests

A charitable bequest is one of the easiest and most flexible ways you can leave a gift to St. Vincent de Paul Orlando.

HOW EASY IS IT?

You make a bequest through your will, trust, or estate plan by including language specifying a gift to be made to St. Vincent de Paul Orlando.

TYPES OF BEQUESTS:

Percentage Bequest – Make a gift of a percentage of your estate.

 Specific Bequest – Make a gift of a specific dollar amount or a specific asset.

 Residual Bequest – Make a gift from the balance or residue of your estate.

St. Vincent de Paul Orlando accepts bequests of cash assets (checking, savings, money market), non-cash assets (securities, stocks, bonds, retirement accounts and life insurance policies) and real property (real estate and personal property).

HOW TO MAKE A BEQUEST:

To make a bequest to St. Vincent de Paul Orlando, you must sign a new will or living trust, add a codicil to your present will, or make an amendment to your present trust instrument.

Bequests can be RESTRICTED IN PURPOSE or UNRESTRICTED, as designated by the donor.

Bequests can be an EXPENDABLE FUND (to be spent when received) or ENDOWED FUND (to last in perpetuity), as designated by the donor.
